5 Reasons Why the Groom Should Attend a Wedding Fayre Tying the knot soon? Attending a wedding fayre isn’t always a groom’s main priority, however, here are a few reasons why it should be. There’s no denying that the ratio of women attending wedding fayre's massively outweighing the men. For some reason, there’s a stigma that an exhibition based around tying the knot is predominantly aimed at brides and bridesmaids, but what about grooms and groomsmen attire? However, this isn’t entirely true. In fact, there are a lot of reasons why a groom and his pals can benefit from a lads day out at a local or national wedding fair. Here are a few of our favourites…
Get inspiration
Believe it or not, a successful wedding takes two people to plan. While all eyes might be on the bride and her beautiful dress, there are a lot of other awesome elements to consider, like:
Music/entertainment
Food
Colour schemes
Wedding attire
Signage
At a wedding fayre, the groom will have the opportunity to get inspiration and share their preferences with their other half.
Save a few quid Who doesn’t love a bargain? Weddings aren’t exactly the cheapest thing to organise. However, most exhibitors will offer discounts and offers on their products and services in a bid to capture more business. And that’s not even mentioning the number of freebies provided as well!
Choose the right gear
A wedding fayre isn’t just about finding a dress for the bride, it’s also about picking up the groom and groomsmen attire as well.
From suits and ties to cufflinks and shoes, grooms can find a range of the best wedding day attire for men at discounted prices.
Cake sampling Oh, crumbs! That’s right, a lot of big wedding fayres will have a vast variety of cake businesses all trying to tickle the taste buds of budding couples. The groom can get their chops around loads of cake and help the bride make the all-important decision. Or if the cake isn’t a selling point, perhaps a few potential alcohol suppliers and free bubbly might be a cause for celebration.
Meet suppliers
This might not sound as tasty at the previous point, but it sure is useful to both the bride and groom. You see, choosing certain services or products based on a website or brochure doesn’t always offer complete peace of mind. At a wedding fayre, a groom can meet the supplier face-to-face and start to form a relationship with them. Are they on the same page? Have they made a good impression? Do they look like the kind of business that is willing to go the extra mile for their customers? It’s also an effective way if a bride and groom are trying to make a booking at the 11th hour, as they can explain their last-minute requirements.
